Online Employment Service Places $10 Mil. Account in Review
DALLAS–Jobs.com, an online employment site, is conducting a search of its own for an agency to handle its $10 million ad account.
The business is currently held by Rizzuti.com., a small agency in Carrollton, Texas.
“I can’t tell you a thing [about the review],” replied agency principal John Rizzuti, citinga confidentiality agreement with the Irving, Texas-based company.
Client marketing director Caryn Kboudi is managing the review. She referred calls to Edelman Public Relations in Dallas, which responded that the company had no comment.
A source, however, said the review is national in scope and that the client has already narrowed the field to an undisclosed number of finalists.
Finalists will make presentations later this month. There will be an assignment to develop a brand identity campaign with creative concepts for a range of media.
A decision is expected Oct. 25.
The incumbent’s efforts on behalf of Jobs.com have included print, radio, outdoor, direct response and banner advertising. The agency conceived the current tagline, “The best jobs. The best way to apply.”
Jobs.com, formerly known as Resumail Network, began operations in 1992 and now claims to be the largest job-posting site in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. According to information posted on its Web venue, Jobs.com has local online career hubs in 19 major U.S. cities and 77 other metro centers.
The company also designs an integrated software system for writing, distributing and receiving resumes via the Internet.
Earlier this year CBS Corp. acquired a 38 percent equity stake in the employment Web site. CBS paid for its share with $62 million in free advertising across its media properties for five years.
Rizzuti.com had been planning to create inaugural television spots for the client and to extend a local billboard campaign nationwide.
