McDonald’s Corp. has revived a popular TV spot from last year in conjunction with its ‘NFL Kickoff Payoff’ promotion, which began Friday. ‘Perfect Season,’ an acclaimed spot from Leo Burnett Co., Chicago, that celebrates football as played by kids, is back. One new spot Burnett created for the promotion plays off the earlier commercial, with a coach telling New York Jets quaterback Boomer Esiason he can’t go to McDonald’s because ‘it’s only halftime.’
The promotion includes instant-win gamepieces and NFL Fantasy prizes including trips to Super Bowl XXVII in January.
