Tuerff-Davis Defends Anti-Litter Account

DALLAS—The Texas Department of Transportation has retained Tuerff-Davis EnviroMedia as the agency for its “Don’t Mess With Texas” advertising account. The Austin, Texas, shop defeated crosstown rivals Kolar Advertising & Marketing and SWG&M for the estimated$2 million account in a review. Tuerff-Davis signed a two-year contract with the state for the creative and media duties of the popular anti-litter campaign. The pact includes an option for a two-year extension. Agency principal Valerie Davis credited the review win to her agency’s insight on two primary sources of litter: Texans under 24 years old and fast-food eaters who toss their trash along roadsides.
