In Honor Of Connors

There was no way that naming rights to the Arnold Arboretum could be secured, so employees of Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos did the next best thing: They underwrote the cost of planting more than 300 shrubs and bushes on Peters Hill in honor of agency chairman Jack Connors.
Hill, Holliday general manager Deb Martin acknowledged it wasn’t easy deciding what to buy a man who “has everything.” Hill, Holliday earlier this year was purchased by Interpublic Group of Cos. in New York, turning Connors into a multimillionaire.
The replanting at the Harvard University-owned tree park, where Connors frequently works, will complete a project to transform one of its highest peaks from a paved bus turnaround to a pastoral setting.
Arboretum development director Lisa Hastings noted that once the project is completed, visitors to Peters Hill will be met with the quiet beauty of a grassy hilltop, a magnificent view and a plaque dedicating the spot to Connors.
