Henderson Adds Event Management Skills

ATLANTA Henderson Advertising has acquired event management company Resolutions Inc., and named its former president, Rusty Jackson, vice president and managing director, the shop said.

This is the second acquisition the Greenville, S.C., agency has made in the last six months, according to Ralph Callahan, president and chief executive officer at Henderson. Public relations company Mainline Marketing Communications also joined Henderson in October 2003.

Callahan added that the acquisition of Resolutions gives Henderson a wealth of event management experience and a strong client roster. The company had offices in Washington, D.C., and Charlotte, N.C., both of which recently moved to Henderson’s South Carolina office.

Jackson has planned events such as the National Basketball Association’s All-Star gala and the 2003 inauguration of Washington Mayor Anthony Williams. She said she looks forward to returning to her hometown of Greenville to join Henderson.

“There is a tremendous opportunity to grow the event management side of Henderson’s business,” Jackson said.

Callahan agreed, saying that Henderson noticed a growing demand for event management services.

“We believe it makes sense to offer these services under the same roof as the advertising, public relations and direct marketing functions,” he said.
