PITTSBURGH Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, Pa., has named Garrison Hughes to handle its advertising following a review. The work moving to the independent agency in Pittsburgh had previously been handled in-house.
Responsibilities include newspaper, magazine and radio advertising, as well as direct mail and collateral, with new work to break in April. Nemacolin’s primary market falls within a four-hour drive radius, and includes Maryland, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Western New York, Virginia, West Virgina and Ohio.
Client director of marketing Chris Plummer said, “We liked Garrison Hughes’ creative. And they understand the demands, twists and turns of the hospitality industry.” Review contenders were not disclosed, nor was the marketing budget.
Garrison Hughes creative director Bill Garrison added, “It’s a world-class resort that also has a lot of things you wouldn’t expect. Our job is to create a campaign that captures Nemacolin’s unique personality.”
On 3,000 acres in the Laurel Highlands of Southwestern Pennsylvania, with guest rooms, suites, townhouses and private luxury homes, Nemacolin Woodlands claims to be one of just 21 hotels and resorts to offer AAA Five-Diamond lodging and dining.
