FCB Picks Up A&W Root Beer; Impact Makes Scudder Finals

While Foote, Cone & Belding here took on expanded work from a client last week, its Impact Communications Group unit seeks to do the same.
FCB picked up responsibilities for A&W Root Beer from Cadbury Beverages’ Dr Pepper/Seven Up unit. The agency has worked with Cadbury since 1989, handling Sunkist, Crush, Squirt and other brands.
Estimated billings for the A&W brand are $5-10 million, according to sources. Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer Euro RSCG, New York, handled A&W previously.
FCB’s Impact unit, meanwhile, has made the final round of client Scudder Kemper Investment’s review for an estimated $15 million corporate account.
