NEW YORK — Steve Farella, CEO of Havas’ Media Planning, has left the company after heading it for two years.

Farella attributed the departure to “simply a disagreement over the direction of the company.” He offered no further details.

A Media Planning Group representative acknowledged Farella’s leaving and said that effective immediately, all units of Media Planning LLC will report directly to Antoni Rossich, CEO of MPG USA, which is the holding company for Media Planning.

Farella joined Media Planning in Decemebr 1999 after serving as senior VP-regional director of North America media operations at D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles.
