All 30 stocks on the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose last Friday, boosting it to a triple-digit gain and sending investors home for the weekend on an upbeat note. The market was buoyed by a number of positive earnings reports, as well as good news from the leading indicator of manufacturing activity, the Durable Orders report, which checked in at 2.1 percent, above the 1.2 percent forecast. On the Big Board, Omnicom shares rose 0.7 percent to $73.06; IPG climbed 5.2 percent to close the week at $13.86; and British holding company WPP, trading as American Depository Receipts on the Nasdaq, increased 6.6 percent to finish at $43.72.
