Mark Modesto has been elevated to the new post of president of Draftfcb North America, the Interpublic Group agency said today.
He has been president of the agency’s operations in Chicago; he now adds oversight for New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Orange County (Calif.), Toronto and Montreal.
Modesto (shown), a 30-year agency veteran, continues to report to shop CEO and president Laurence Boschettto.
“Since our 2006 merger [of Draft and FCB], Mark has been an advocate, embracing our new model and quickly putting in place the training programs to bring it to life,” Boschetto said in a statement. In the process, he has helped create a winning culture that has had outstanding success on the new business front from both brand new and existing clients.”
The shop said its Chicago office had grown by nearly 25 percent since the merger, adding work from Kmart, Qwest, MillerCoors, Kraft, Newell Rubbermaid and MoneyGram, among others.
