Draft Adds Caldwell

DraftWorldwide has hired Kate Caldwell as director of strategic planning. Caldwell, 44, who will focus on direct marketing, reports to chief marketing director of the Chicago agency Tony Weisman and partner Jim Lucas, senior vice president, director of strategic planning and research. From 2001 until the present, Caldwell served as senior vice president, director of strategic planning at Vero LLC, Chicago. As founding strategist for Vero, Caldwell developed brand strategies for clients such as GE Capital Merchant Banking Group, Renessen, YesMail and Kraft Foods. Caldwell also spent four years as senior vice president, strategic planning and research for FCBi, the interactive agency of Foote, Cone & Belding. There she worked for clients such as American Dental Association, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Gatorade and Nestle, among others. She received her bachelor of arts degree in history from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
