DoubleClick Narrows Field In Review

Five New York agencies have advanced to the second round of DoubleClick Corp’s $20-25 million review: J. Walter Thompson, BBDO Worldwide, Saatchi & Saatchi, Grey Worldwide and Gotham, sources said.

DoubleClick executives expect to visit the shops the week of Jan. 22 to check credentials and chemistry, according to sources, with final presentations slated for the week of Feb. 12.

New York-based DoubleClick, in Internet ad network, seeks an agency to handle creative and media duties for North and South America [Adweek, Dec. 18].

Creative incumbent Digital Pulp, here, declined to participate. Media duties are handled in house.

The review is being managed by Pile and Co. in Boston.
