CHICAGO Circuit City and independent Doner have parted ways on the retailer’s $135 million broadcast creative account, according to agency CEO Alan Kalter.

The split comes just days after Philip Schoonover took over as chief executive officer of the Richmond, Va., company. Schoonover, a former Best Buy executive, was tapped to succeed Alan McCollough in the position last December, with a March 1 effective date.

Last May, Fiona Dias, who had been working at company’s Circuit City Direct subsidiary, was named chief marketing officer, replacing Ernest Speranze, who had left the company.
