Dining Chain Hires Pile to Lead Review

BOSTON Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Heathrow, Fla., said it would conduct a review of its advertising account.

Peter A. Mayer Advertising in New Orleans, the incumbent for three years, has been invited to participate and will defend.

“We have had a successful and productive partnership with Peter A. Mayer over the years,” said Jill Ramsier, client vp, marketing. “As Ruth’s Chris continues to grow, it is important for us to ensure we have the best agency partner possible to help us meet our objectives.”

Pile and Co., the consulting firm in Boston, had been hired to oversee the review process, which is expected to finish early next year.

The client typically spends $5-7 million annually in domestic measured media, and spent $4 million on ads through the first three quarters of 2007, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

Founded in New Orleans by Ruth Fertel in 1965, Ruth’s Chris now has more than 110 locations.
