Digitas Names West Coast Chief

Digitas has named Krishnan Menon president of the firm’s West Coast operations, which are based in San Francisco and include a telemarketing center in Salt Lake City.

“Effective today, Digitas has a meaningful presence in San Francisco,” said Michael Ward, Digitas president, of Menon’s arrival and the addition of several other top mangers on the West Coast. Digitas senior vp Jay Hussey had helmed West Coast operations on an interim basis; he continues with the company as director of its digital strategy group.

Menon was most recently president and chief operating officer of TheRightSize, a provider of retailing software. He had also previously served as a managing partrner/global practice leader at USWeb/CKS, which is now part of MarchFirst. Menon began his career as a copywriter at Leo Burnett.

Digitas also named several other West Coast executives: Patricia Anton, svp/client solutions; David Luke, vp/delivery management; Warren Raisch, svp/digital strategy; and Robert Tekiela, evp/integrated technology.

Boston-based Digitas, with 2,000 employees worldwide, is publicly traded on the Nasdaq exchange; Digitas shares were trading around $8.88 at press time. The agency specializes in interactive and direct marketing and its clients include American Express, AT&T, General Motors, L.L. Bean and many others.
