Coors Chooses Hispanic Agency

DALLAS — Coors Brewing Co. has tapped Bromley Communications of San Antonio as its new Hispanic agency for the estimated $10-20 million account of Coors Light, a brewery representative confirmed.

Bromley bested crosstown shop Cartel Creativo and Publicis Sanchez & Levitan of Dallas. Coors initially contacted 10 agencies for the account, which is expected to include creative as well as media planning and buying. Coors previously worked on a “project basis” with Casanova Pendrill Publicidad in Irvine, Calif., that ended earlier this year.

No work is expected until 2003, the client said.

In related news, Coors is shopping around for an agency that can be a “secondary provider of concepts” on its brands, which includes Coors Light.
