College Looks for Creative, Media Help

NEW YORK The American College is seeking an agency to handle its creative and media planning duties for trade print and direct response advertising. The ad budget will be in the $1 million range.

“We really want to build our national visibility and I think we needs some professional expertise on this,” said Mary Suplee, associate vice president of marketing. “We’re looking for someone to help us in an ongoing relationship.”

The American College is an accredited educational institution devoted exclusively to financial services. Located on a 35-acre campus in Bryn Mawr, Pa., the school offers a master of science degree and continuing education programs among its varied courses.

Past work, created in-house last year, targeted professionals and appeared in trade magazines. Suplee, who is conducting the search, said she would like to expand advertising into consumer periodicals to educate the public on the kinds of credentials their financial advisors should possess.
