Chrysler Group Stages Minivan Contests

DETROIT DaimlerChrysler’s Chrysler Group will give away two customized minivans in a sweepstakes and contest promotion developed by lead agency BBDO Detroit to highlight the production of Chrysler’s 10 millionth minivan. The minivans were unveiled this week at the Chicago Auto Show.

Both minivans offer special features such as a video gaming system and a portable hot/cold storage compartment. The Chrysler Ultimate Town & Country Vacation Edition model also includes a cappuccino machine, while the Dodge Grand Caravan ES AWD Family Fun Machine vehicle has walkie-talkies, juice box dispenser, wet/dry vacuum and a Porta Potty.

A sweepstakes entry form will appear in the April Travel & Leisure magazine and on Chrysler’s Web site starting Feb. 28. The grand prize is the minivan; five second-place winners will receive a family vacation.

The Dodge contest began Feb. 11 and is based on “Magic Minivan Moments.” Entrants are asked to write a short essay describing a special family moment, incident or adventure involving their minivan, and Ladies’ Home Journal will select the winner. The winner receives the minivan, a trip to Orlando, Fla., and will be profiled in LHJ.

Entry forms are available online at Dodge.com and in the March and April issues of Ladies’ Home Journal, and the April editions of Parenting, Parents, BabyTalk, Family Fun, House & Garden, House Beautiful, Nick Jr. and Scholastic Parent.
