Agency Moves Top Execs and Farmers Insurance Account West
DETROIT–Campbell-Ewald Ad-vertising is sending several senior executives and one of the shop’s largest non-Chevrolet accounts West to bolster the agency’s Los Angeles office.
The L.A. operation has not performed to agency standards, said Tony Hopp, CEA’s chairman and chief executive officer.
“We’re not viewed as a major player [in Los Angeles],” Hopp said.
The L.A. office recently lost its $10 million CoCo’s restaurants account and is defending its
$70 million DirectTV business, which has prompted speculation it may be on the verge of closing.
Hopp strongly dismissed those rumors, and backed it up by naming Debra Samuels Wurzel the office’s new managing director and executive vice president.
