Buxton Picks Fort Worth Specialists

DALLAS The Buxton Company has awarded national branding and marketing duties to the team of Venturemark, CVA Advertising & Marketing and InterStar Marketing & Public Relations, the client said.

Fort Worth, Texas-based Buxton provides strategic market planning services to more than 600 major retail companies, more than 100 cities and several economic development groups.

The three Fort Worth shops won the account in a review that included undisclosed contenders, according to client president and chief executive officer Tom Buxton. He said the trio was chosen for its media, public relations, advertising professionalism and “better clarity of our goals.” In the past the client has only done project work with Venturemark and has never launched a national branding campaign.

Venturemark will provide Internet marketing services and strategies, while CVA will oversee the design and production of graphics, advertising and collateral materials. InterStar will coordinate national trade media and public relations efforts.

The marketing team will be responsible for expanding Buxton’s national recognition of its offerings to potential clients. “We want this campaign to make Buxton a household name,” Buxton said. “With most of our business coming from retailers and communities alike, we want to be the first name that comes to mind in identifying their customers.”

Elements of the campaign will break immediately, with more complex components coming in the next six months.

Media spending is uncertain at this time, according to Buxton.
