Leo Burnett continued to build staff to handle its new role as media buying agency for Miller Brewing Co. with the hiring of Bruce Blair in the new post of vice president and director of sports media in its Leo Burnett Media unit.

Blair will oversee planning and buying for the approximately $300 million Miller spends during sports programming, an assignment Burnett won in December.

Last month Burnett added responsibilities for entertainment programming buys as well, valued at an additional $50 million.

Previously, Blair was a principal at Marketing Partnerships International here, a media consulting company.
