NEW YORK For the fourth year in a row, Leo Burnett has topped the list of the New York American Marketing Association’s Effie Awards, winning 12 out of the 115 Effies presented across all categories.

Burnett in Chicago won five of those Effies for ads on behalf of Procter & Gamble, the most-honored client with seven awards.

BBDO took second place, garnering eight Effies for its work for clients including Campbell’s, Guinness, Orbit and GE, among others.

Minneapolis-based Fallon and New York-based Ogilvy & Mather tied for third with seven awards each.

This is the New York AMA’s 37th annual Effie Awards. Agencies will learn whether they won gold, silver or bronze Effies and which shop will receive the Grand Effie at an awards ceremony in New York on June 7.
