Aussie Gets Top Spot at Cannes Festival

NEW YORK The Cannes International Advertising Festival has named Terry Savage chief executive officer, effective March 21.

Savage, previously an executive at the Val Morgan cinema group in Sydney, Australia, replaces Franz Prenner, who left the position in October. Savage has been the Australian representative of the festival for more than a decade.

“He’s familiar with the festival,” said Amanda Benfell, a festival representative. “He’s always been an active representative, so he was the ideal candidate.”

Savage could not be reached for comment.

The festival will be held June 15-21 in Cannes, France.
