NEW YORK Revlon on Tuesday said it awarded creative and media planning duties on its Almay account to Omnicom Group’s Arnell Group here following a review in which sources said independent StrawberryFrog was a finalist. Estimated Almay billings are $40 million.

Interpublic Group’s Deutsch, New York, resigned Almay and Mitchum in March after Revlon awarded the $125 million account of its flagship Revlon brand to Publicis Groupe’s The Kaplan Thaler Group.

Deutsch had been the incumbent on that flagship account and was a runner-up in the pitch along with WPP Group’s Berlin Cameron/Red Cell in New York [Adweek Online, March 15].
