April Launch Set for ‘Celebrando Contigo’

ATLANTA “Celebrando Contigo,” a Hispanic-marketing event featuring concerts, film festivals, ethnic food and VIP parties, will tour the Top 20 Latino markets in the U.S. next year, organizers said.

The initiative is a joint venture between Mobile Media Latino, a division of Atlanta-based Mobile Media Enterprises, and Chicago Special Events Management. It is scheduled to begin touring in April.

The event aims to provide advertisers with a way to reach young Hispanic consumers by offering sponsorships to corporations. The higher levels of sponsorship offer brand exclusivity.

“Celebrando Contigo is first of its kind,” said Ken McCord, chief financial officer of MME. “Celebrando Contigo will simultaneously offer cultural entertainment for the Hispanic community and a chance for sponsor brands to offer a personal touch to their target consumers.”

The growing size and affluence of the Hispanic market prompted the joint venture, said Bob Lewis, founder and president of MME.

Hispanics are the fastest-growing segment of the American population, according to the latest U.S. Census Bureau reports. The group comprises about 14 percent of the nation’s population, according to the bureau.
