Advanced Micro Devices launched a review for its ad account after splitting with IPG’s McCann Erickson, the client said. Sources said the move to terminate the three-year relationship was at least in part the result of McCann’s desire to participate in the ongoing review for Intel’s $300 million global business. AMD in Sunnyvale, Calif., has spent less than $5 million on ads in each of the past two years, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
