Agency.com Promotes Jackson

NEW YORK — Agency.com has promoted Michael J. Jackson, the interactive shop’s acting CFO since last October, to evp, chief financial officer.

Reporting to Agency.com chairman and CEO Chan Suh, Jackson will oversee the global finances of the New York-based company. Jackson joined Agency.com in August 1999 as corporate controller and was elevated to chief accounting officer and vp of corporate finance in May 2000. He took on the acting CFO role last fall when Charlie Dickson, the former chief financial officer, exited to peruse other opportunities.

Prior to Agency.com, Jackson spent over 10 years in public accounting at international accounting firms, most recently Andersen.

Separately, Agency.com’s Chicago office was tapped by Wendy’s International to redesign the company’s High School Heisman Web site.

The interactive agency landed the assignment after a referral from fellow Omnicom unit, Ketchum, which handles public relations for the restaurant chain.

The Web site ( http://www.wendyshighschoolheisman.com/hsh/index.asp ) promotes a Wendy’s-sponsored awards program created eight years ago to honor top high school students nationwide who excel in academics, athletics and community service.

As a part of the redesign, Agency.com will add new navigation tools and a content management system.
