McDonald’s Northeast regional office named The Bravo Group its agency for Hispanic-market advertising and public relations. The New York-based Hispanic marketing and communications agency will also handle the client’s direct mail and media planning and buying for the bilingual Latino market in the New York metropolitan area. The Bravo Group also has an office in Miami. McDonald’s Northeast regional office is located in Valley Stream, N.Y.

Relationship-marketing company Marketing Services Group (MKTG) entered into a five-year strategic alliance with Jeff McClusky & Associates, a Chicago-based entertainment-promotion, new-media and artist-exposure company. Under the agree ment, New York-based MKTG will use JMA’s music-industry relationships to mar ket its own products and services to radio and TV broadcasters, record labels and media companies. This will include building databases of consumer-purchasing and listener information to be used by record labels and radio stations, respectively. JMA also has offices in Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York. MKTG’s other offices are in Boston, Phila delphia, Los Angeles, Detroit, Atlanta and Phoenix.

CMR parent company Taylor Nelson Sofres will acquire Theatrical Entertainment Services and its sister company, RapidChek Reporting. The Los Angeles-based companies, which are known collectively as TES, supply box-office verification and cinema-tracking services to the film industry and movie-theater operators. They also conduct market-research surveys. TES will be a division of New York-based CMR, which provides strategic-advertising infor mation to advertising agencies, adver tisers, broadcasters and publishers. Marketing-information group TNS is based in London.

Earle Palmer Brown in New York will create public-service print ads for The Advertising Council and the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. The goal is to recognize the importance of civilian employers supporting employees who are members of the National Guard and Reserve while they train and serve in the armed forces. The ads are the latest installment of a campaign that has also included TV and radio spots, outdoor and Web banners. The latest work is slated to begin production this month and run in first-quarter 2002. EPB, a unit of New York-based Pan oramic Communications, also has offices in Bethesda, Md., and Philadelphia.

New York-based visual-effects com pany Quiet Man donated its services to three of six TV spots that promote New York City tourism. The commercials, which were commissioned by the Office of the Mayor of New York City and created by BBDO in New York, feature celebrities such as Woody Allen, Barbara Walters, Henry Kissinger, Billy Crystal, Ben Stiller and Yogi Berra. The work broke Nov. 12.

EyeballNYC, a New York-based design company, produced “Leading the Way,” a 30-second commercial for St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis and its ad agency, CVR/ MARC Advertising, also in Indianapolis. EyeballNYC directed, edited and created original music for the spot, which broke early last month. The company also produced a 30-second ad, “Unzipped,” for Framingham, Mass.-based retailer Marshalls and its agency, Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston. In addition, EyeballNYC provided original music for the spot, which also broke in early November.


MWW/Savitt added ShareBuilder Securities Corp. and Edge Investors to its financial- services communications practice’s client roster. ShareBuilder is a Bellevue, Wash.-based online brokerage; Edge Investors is a Seattle-based private investment partnership. The public relations and marketing-communications agency will handle financial media relations, corporate com mu nications and public relations for Share Builder, and general public relations for Edge Investors. Seattle-based MWW/ Savitt is a division of The MWW Group, an East Rutherford-based public relations agency that also has offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington. The MWW Group is an independent unit of Chicago-based public relations com pany Golin/Harris International and part of the Interpublic Group.
