Some college roommates grow in different directions and lose touch, while others stay in close contact. But Eric Furhnstrom and Ed Cafaso’s relationship is a bit different: They’re leading parallel lives.
The two first met at Boston University, where both were enrolled in the school of communications.
Following graduation, Cafaso landed at The News Tribune in Waltham, Mass., followed shortly by Furhnstrom. Years later, the two jumped to the Boston Herald, where they covered general news and, eventually, politics.
