As lights at the end of tunnels go, this one may look awfully dim. Still, the volume of help-wanted classifieds in Adweek offers hope of a turnaround for the job market in advertising, marketing and media. While the numbers remain dismal, they’re less dismal than those of the past year. Some regions are faring worse than others, but that’s an improvement over the months in which the numbers for all regions were uniformly horrendous. Among the signs of life: Temp agencies are advertising actively, and some client-side companies are booking big ad programs for marketing jobs.
