Car-care giant Aamco–whose ads are well known for featuring the sharp toots of a horn–has selected Qorvis as its lead agency following a review.
An independent communications firm based in Washington, Qorvis will handle all creative development, including TV, radio, interactive and public relations.
Jack Bachinsky, vp, marketing at Aamco, said Qorvis was chosen based on its integrated approach to marketing. Other contenders in the review were not disclosed.
The shop’s first major push for Aamco will take the form of a $20 million campaign slated to break in April.
Aamco has recently worked with Clearvision in West Hollywood, Calif., for its creative needs. The client maintains more than 900 automotive centers in North America.
Best known for its public- and media-relations expertise, Qorvis also offers services such as marketing communications, research and online/offline advertising. Winning Aamco provides the largely under-the-radar shop with a high-profile creative showcase.
