NEW YORK Office Depot has awarded creative chores on its advertising account to The Kaplan Thaler Group following a review, sources said. Estimated billings are $85 million.

Kaplan Thaler here outpaced Publicis Groupe sibling Leo Burnett in Chicago and The Martin Agency, an Interpublic Group-owned shop in Richmond, Va., in the competition’s final round.

The incumbent was Omnicom Group’s BBDO in New York, which had handled the business for five years.

Joanne Davis Consulting in New York oversaw the process for the retailer in Delray Beach, Fla.
