Lovel, Williamson, Schmelzer beef up national, local coverage

Adweek has added veteran reporters to its offices in Atlanta, Dallas and Los Angeles, reinforcing the magazine’s commitment to in-depth regional news coverage.

Taking over on July 26 as Atlanta bureau chief is Jim Lovel. He joins the magazine following three years as a writer and columnist for the Atlanta Business Chronicle, where he covered advertising and media. Lovel’s 20 years in the news business include stints at The Tampa Tribune and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Adweek’s new Southwest bureau chief is Richard Williamson, who is based in Dallas.
