The 20 Most Viral Ads of 2013

With Thanksgiving almost here, it's time to start expecting those year-end lists. And Unruly Media is first out of the gate with quite a stocking stuffer: its list of the 20 most shared ads of 2013.

You've seen most of these; we've written about almost all of them. And it's an eclectic mix: long-form stories down to 30-second spots; pranks to music videos; kittens to camels; poop to, well, even more poop.

Some context: Last year's list had seven spots that earned 1.2 million shares or more. This year's list has 14 such spots. But the top ad here earned 4.24 millions shares across Facebook, Twitter and the blogosphere, versus more than 10 million shares for last year's chart-topping Kony video.

Note: Kmart's "Show Your Joe" holiday spot sneaked into the top 20, at No. 17, over the past few days. It's featured in our list, but came in too late for Unruly's official list.
