NEW YORK Following presentations last week as part of a global media consolidation, Shell said it has cut to two finalists: Interpublic Group’s Initiative and an entity called Shell Team Media, which combines the efforts of WPP’s Maxus and Grey Global Group’s MediaCom. (WPP is in the process of acquiring Grey Global).

Estimated billings are $240 million.

Maxus and MediaCom started the process with separate pitches.

Cut from the review were Publicis Groupe’s Starcom MediaVest and Aegis Group’s Carat.
