By Monday morning, a Facebook page titled "Osama Bin Laden Is DEAD" had already gotten more than 300,000 “likes” from users of the social networking site. People are now using the page as a forum to discuss the news and post updates—and many others are using it as a place to publicly rejoice in Bin Laden’s death and celebrate America.
Funny enough, the page was actually set up long before Sunday’s announcement and seems to endorse the (now defunct) theory that Bin Laden had already been killed without the public’s knowledge. Its description reads: “Osama Bin Laden has not been found and will never be found because he died a long time ago. This may be news to you because it wasn't in the news.”
But whether people have noticed—or care—is now irrelevant; for all those looking to share their excitement about the news, the page is Facebook's No. 1 destination.
