Y&R Finds Another Tech Buddy in Shazam

Young & Rubicam is rubbing elbows with yet another technology company in ongoing push to contemporize its offering. Audio recognition application Shazam has forged a partnership with the WPP Group shop. The partnership, which is non-exclusive, also involves video content creator Unconventional Partners, another tech player with ties to Y&R.

Shazam Introduces Engagement Metric for TV Ads

In an effort to help brands measure the impact of second-screen ad campaigns, Shazam is introducing a new metric tracking users' engagement with TV spots using the media "tagging" app.
