When John Verret joined the faculty of Boston University’s College of Communications several years ago, he did not expect to be spending most of his time in a laboratory.
Verret does not have much experience with test tubes or beakers—but as a former vice chairman of Arnold, he has the perfect background to be a faculty adviser to AdLab, the school’s long-running training program for would-be advertising professionals.
“We try to run itas close to a real advertising agency as possible,” said Verret, an associate professor of advertising at BU.
AdLab is a student-operated agency that BU juniors and seniors can take as a course for credit.
