Prime Hospitality has moved its advertising account to Yesawich, Pepperdine & Brown.
YB&P in Orlando, Fla., will be responsible for advertising, direct marketing and franchise promotions for Prime's AmeriSuites and Wellesley Inn & Suites brands.
"We need to be certain that each brand has its own personality, even though they are part of the same family," said Heather Eisenstadt, senior vice president and creative director at YB&P.
The win came after a review that included six undisclosed contenders. Previously, Prime had worked with Carella & Co., North Conway, N.H., which did not defend the business.
"We were looking for hospitality experience, creative ideas and ways to further the strength of our brands and help us sell franchises," said Ernie Taddei. vice president of sales and marketing at AmeriSuites in Fairfield, N.J.
Client officials pegged the budget at $7 million, up from last year's $3 million, which focused on print, collateral and regional radio. Print has appeared in USA Today, AAA Tourbooks, Travel Weekly as well as business and investment magazines. Broadcast will have an increased role in the campaign, which begins next spring.
