Peter Mitchell has been named vice president and director of account development at The Woodbine Agency.

He joins the $20 million Winston-Salem, N.C., shop three months after his departure from crosstown agency Mullen/LHC.

Mitchell, 43, was one of three senior executives who left Long Haymes Carr in January, when the Interpublic Group merged that agency with Wenham, Mass.-based Mullen [Adweek, Jan. 22].

It was reading of Mitchell’s availability in Adweek that caused Woodbine president Maureen Hall to approach the ex-LHC staffer.

“He consulted with us for six weeks,” she said.
