DALLAS Cowboys & Indians magazine has chosen Affiliated Media Group as its lead agency overseeing public relations, marketing and assistance with national ad sales, the shop said.
Cowboys & Indians, based in Fort Worth, Texas, targets upscale readers who identify with a traditional western lifestyle.
AMG, headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., will service the account out of its Dallas office. The value of the account was not disclosed.
The magazine's cover typically features a male celebrity who is interviewed about his ties to the western lifestyle. Cover subjects have included Ralph Lauren, Tommy Lee Jones, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Keaton, Johnny Cash and Robert Redford.
The periodical, which is issued eight times per year, also covers travel, entertainment, fashion and shopping.
"This magazine has something to offer everyone," said Van Dalton, managing partner of AMG's Dallas office.
AMG will work with C&I to obtain coverage in various media outlets while branding and positioning the magazine to reach a broader readership in 2005, the agency said. The shop said it would also help the publication's sales staff sign national advertisers.
"Cowboys & Indians magazine has established a level of excellence that very few in the industry can match and you can see the quality in every page," said Ray Davis, AMG chairman and CEO.
