CHICAGO Sears Optical has tapped Ten United to handle its $20 million advertising account after a three-month review, according to the agency.
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to help further the growth of the Sears Optical business across the country," said Bill Binstock, CEO of Ten United, in a statement. "We look forward to a long and successful partnership."
The Pittsburgh shop will develop a new brand positioning for the Cincinnati-based client, which is a division of Luxottica Retail. Duties will include all creative for the brand, including advertising and in-store promotion.
The account had previously been with independent agency Liggett-Stashower in Cleveland. Contenders for the review were not disclosed.
The company spent just over $20 million on advertising through October of last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
