Plenty of ad execs look forward to seeing their work air during the Super Bowl. Cheryl Berman, though, may have the best view of all.
Leo Burnett's chief creative officer will have a front row seat at Sunday's game as a guest of the Walt Disney Co. And she won't need a television to see her work, either, as the song she wrote for Disney is scheduled be performed at halftime by Christina Aguilera and Enrique Iglesias.
The tune, "Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand," debuted in Disney's millennium-themed advertising, and has since become a staple of Disney's marketing efforts. Written by Berman and Ira Antelis (the man behind Gatorade's "Be Like Mike" jingle), it's getting significant air time, including through the music boxes at Disney's theme parks.
"This presentation shows how much Disney is embracing the spirit of the new millennium and the message of the song," Berman said. --Aaron Baa
