DALLAS Visual Image Advertising and Revolution Communications have formed a new agency called VI Revolution that will represent recently won client City and County of Denver Theaters and Arenas, the agencies said.

Will Seccombe, president of Denver-based Revolution Communications, will serve as managing partner of VI Revolution, which will have 12 employees in Denver. Partners from VIA in Oklahoma City are president Tim Berney and creative director Steve Sturges. The agencies have competed since 2002, when VIA opened an office in Colorado Springs, Colo., Berney said.

"We've heard of and known about Seccombe for quite a long time, and have always respected his style of business," said Berney. "Will has been a good friend to us since his days as COO of Praco. We have been waiting for the right time to form a partnership, and now is the time."

Seccombe is the former COO of Praco Advertising & PR, where he led the agency's efforts on behalf of clients including the Colorado Tourism Office, The Broadmoor, Groupo Posadas and the Colorado Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau. Before Praco, Seccombe was the marketing vice president of the Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau for five years. He spent six years in senior sales and marketing positions for Loveland Ski Area and Vail and Beaver Creek Resorts.

Denver Theater and Arenas venues include the landmark Red Rocks Amphitheater, the newly renovated $92 million Ellie Caulkins Opera House, the Denver Performing Arts Complex, Buell Theatre, Boettcher Concert Hall, the Historic Denver Coliseum and the Colorado Convention Center.

In a related move, VIA said it has added 10 employees to its Oklahoma City office. Sarah Barrow and Linda Cook have been promoted to project manager and associate media director, respectively, the agency said.

New hires at VIA include Beth Brigham, public relations director; Clay Miller, copywriter; Jessica Schnebel, account executive; Judi Brown, account supervisor; Craig Litle, public relations coordinator; Jessica Harris, media assistant; Deana Paulson, office manager; Blake Behrens, creative production artist; Jarrod Drysdale, multimedia production artist; and Natalie Butler, account executive.

In its sixteenth year, VIA has 31 employees and billings of more than $22 million, the agency said.
