Stocks managed to gain last week, despite indications the economy was slowing. The Dow finished the week up 0.7 percent at 12,090.26. The Nasdaq grew 0.5 percent to close at 2,350.62. In the ad world, Interpublic, Omnicom and WPP all hit 52-week highs during last week’s trading. Omnicom hit 101.50 on Wednesday before falling back to 100.39 at Friday’s close (up 6 percent). WPP made 65.33 on Thursday before dropping to 63.71 (up 2 percent).
