BOSTON High-end jewelry retailer Shreve, Crump & Low is talking to six agencies in a review of its ad account, according to Pile and Co., the consulting company overseeing the process.
In the hunt are: Agency212, Avrett Free & Ginsberg and M&C Saatchi, all in New York; and Connelly Partners, ISM and Wallwork Curry McKenna, all in Boston. AFG is a unit of the Interpublic Group; the other shops are independently owned.
A cut to finalists will be made by month's end, with a decision coming in June, according to a Pile representative.
The client spent $2 million on ads in 2004, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
The incumbent, Peaks Island Marketing Group in Brookline, Mass., is not participating.
Recent print work has featured merchandise shots and used the tagline "Two floors. And who knows how many stories."
Shreve was founded in Boston in 1796 and bills itself as the nation's oldest luxury jeweler.
