BOSTON High-end jewelry retailer Shreve, Crump & Low is set to hire independent ISM here for advertising chores following a review of its account, sources said.
Consulting firm Pile and Co. oversaw the process, which also included finalists Avrett Free Ginsberg in New York, an Interpublic Group shop, and Boston's Connelly Partners, an independent.
Out of contention following earlier rounds were Agency212 and M&C Saatchi, both in New York, and Wallwork Curry McKenna in Boston.
The client spent $2 million on ads in 2004, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
The incumbent, Peaks Island Marketing Group in Brookline, Mass., did not participate.
Agency executives either declined comment or referred calls to Pile, which did not immediately respond.
Recent print work has featured merchandise shots and used the tagline "Two floors. And who knows how many stories."
Shreve was founded in Boston in 1796 and bills itself as the nation's oldest luxury jeweler.
The winner will also craft ads for Shreve's Schwarzschild Jewelers store in Richmond, Va.
