S.C. Bank Puts Trust in Brandon

ATLANTA CommunitySouth Bank & Trust has selected Brandon Advertising to handle its advertising and public relations duties, the shop said.

The independent Myrtle Beach, S.C., shop will provide all creative work, media planning and buying and public relations for the Easley, S.C.-based bank. There was no incumbent. Brandon was selected after a review involving undisclosed shops and is the bank's first ad agency.

The assignment includes print, radio, outdoor and direct mail. The bank's advertising budget is $120,000 this year.

CommunitySouth opened earlier this year with a $30 million initial public offering. Brandon will help the bank market its expansion throughout the northern section of South Carolina. The bank said it plans to open six branches in the region during the next three years. Currently, it has a branch in Spartanburg, S.C., and one in Greenwood, S.C., in addition to its headquarters in Easley.
