It was déjà vu for Omnicom Group’s Goodby, Silverstein & Partners last week, as the client who fired the shop from another account in 1997 in favor of BBDO did the same thing again—this time with the eBay account.

The online auctioneer handed its $80 million U.S. account to BBDO New York without a review, reuniting the shop with Bill Cobb, president of eBay North America, who had been at eBay International until December.

Goodby is now 0-for-2 with Cobb, who booted the San Francisco shop from the Pizza Hut roster eight years ago.
