Rubber on Road, KO Picks Up Creative Leaders

On the heels of its largest account win, Kruskopf Olson has brought in two creatives to serve as the No. 2 and No. 3 executives in that department.

Joining the Minneapolis shop are Robb Burnham and Mike Cronin, former co-creative directors of Agency 11. Burnham will serve as creative director, reporting to agency CEO and executive creative director Sue Kruskopf, and Cronin becomes associate creative director.

Burnham and Cronin first teamed at Carmichael Lynch before leaving earlier this year to lead Agency 11, Minneapolis, formerly Kuester Partners.

The pair are "more concerned about problem solving and less concerned about what hotel they're going to stay at in Santa Monica," Kruskopf said.

She added that the team also has experience integrating design and advertising. The team's previous shop, Agency 11, started as a design firm, and KO has its own in-house design division, Wink.

"With Robb and Mike's experience, we'll be better positioned to leverage Wink's creative strengths," Kruskopf said.

"I've known Sue for quite a few years," Burnham said. "I like her energy and I like the place she's created."

Burnham's career has included stops at Minneapolis agencies Fallon, Martin/Williams and CL, as well as Wieden + Kennedy in Portland, Ore. Prior to Agency 11, Cronin worked at CL.

The shop late last month picked up creative duties on Morgan Tires' $30 million advertising account. The Clearwater, Fla., company had acquired KO client Tires Plus.

KO's first task will be to rebrand the company's divisions under one name, Tires Plus Total Car Care.

Media for the account will be handled by Haworth Marketing & Media in Minneapolis. The shop previously handled Tires Plus' media account.
